MotoGossip is built and run by Gossip Apps LLC, a Texas limited liability company at 411 Ivanhoe Dr, Victoria, TX 77901. We are a small software team, not a dealer, a manufacturer or an auction house, and MotoGossip does not sell you a motorcycle. We have no financial stake in which bike you buy or from whom. Our own revenue comes from advertising, a MotoGossip-branded merchandise shop, and (soon) paid dealer tools; none of it depends on steering a visitor toward one listing over another.
The board at motogossip.com/ads is built from live motorcycle, side-by-side and ATV inventory collected nightly from dealer websites and marketplaces across the United States, plus listings dealers and private sellers post directly. A scraper visits each source every night, reads what is publicly advertised for sale (price, year, mileage, condition, photographs, location) and refreshes our index with it. We do not alter a seller’s asking price, description or photographs; what you read on a listing page is what the seller published, aside from our own comparison against similar bikes underneath it.
Coverage is nationwide but uneven. It depends entirely on which dealers we have a feed from and which marketplaces we crawl, so a make or a region with thin coverage here is a fact about our index, not a fact about how many of that bike actually exist. We say so plainly on pages where the sample is small rather than publish a number that reads more confident than it is.
Under most listings, and on every model page, you will see an asking price measured against a median: the middle price among comparable machines. “Comparable” is deliberately narrow, meaning the same make, model and trim, the same model year, within 3,999 miles of the odometer, and within 500 miles of the bike, with duplicate listings of the same physical machine (the same VIN, or a dealer group re-posting the same bike across sister stores) counted once. We publish a verdict only when at least three genuinely comparable listings agree with each other. Fewer than that, or a set whose prices disagree too widely, gets no verdict rather than a misleading one. The full method, with the reasoning behind each threshold, is on the how we price page.
There is deliberately no single make-level or page-level median anywhere on the site. Mixing segments, such as a 600cc among liter bikes or a base trim among CVOs, produces a number that flatters or punishes a listing for being a different kind of machine, not for being priced well or badly. Every verdict you see compares a bike only to its own kind.
